Shania Twain Leads Lineup for 6th Annual ‘Girls Just Wanna Weekend’ in Mexico

GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and producer Brandi Carlile has just officially announced the lineup for her sixth annual "Girls Just Wanna Weekend"—an all-inclusive music festival set for January 16-20, 2025, at the picturesque Barceló Maya Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

The highly anticipated destination concert event will once again feature an all-female and non-binary-fronted roster of big-name performers. In addition to epic beachfront musical performances, guests will get to enjoy luxury accommodations, top-shelf drinks, daily pool parties, artist-curated activities and adventurous off-site excursions.

The five-day festival is expected to be a showcase of diverse talent, with multiple performances from Carlile herself, as well as appearances by the legendary Shania Twain, MUNA, Maren Morris, Lucius, Brandy Clark, Brittney Spencer, Jensen McRae and Allison Ponthier. Additional acts like Arroba Nat, Tish Melton, SistaStrings, Yasmin Williams, The Carlile Family Band and The Marshgrass Mamas are also slated to perform. Comedian Kristen Key will be bringing some humor to the event as well.

Expressing her excitement about the festival, Carlile shared, “Each year, Girls Just Wanna Weekend grows into something even more special—a space where music, love and inclusivity shine. This lineup is a dream come true, and I’m so proud to share it with a community that means the world to me!”

The event is being produced by 100x Hospitality and promises festival-goers an unforgettable blend of live music, luxury and fun in the sun, all wrapped in a paradisiacal setting. The all-inclusive experience offers attendees premium resort accommodations, unlimited beverages, diverse dining options and round-trip airport transportation.

Set against the backdrop of the pristine white sands and turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean, the Barceló Maya Resort is an entertainment paradise. Festival attendees will have access to water sports, scuba diving lessons, shopping, bowling, a 24-hour sports bar, three theaters and a nightclub for late-night dancing.

The “Girls Just Wanna Weekend” has built a strong reputation for its emphasis on inclusivity, and particularly for creating a welcoming and safe space for LGBTQ+ attendees. The event’s “Brandi Land” campus within the resort ensures a celebratory atmosphere where everyone can feel at home.

Tickets and travel packages for the festival are available now, including flexible payment plans. For more details, booking options and the full festival lineup, fans can visit girlsjustwannaweekend.com.
